Just a brief mention then of this vinyl rarity popping through my door a while back, because the vinyl makes a difference and gives the sound added punch, ‘Marie Celeste’ definitely in the mild Goth camp, with its pretty, choppy guitar and sweetly interlocked vocals. ‘Nightmare’ starts as martial disco but that swiftly dissipates (thank the Lord) and there’s more flowery gawf guitar, where warnings abound of something being in the dark, watching you. ‘Psychedelic Bed’ is admirably perky and subtly controlled, while spooky bells add character to the thoughtful beauty of ‘Children Of Stone.’
It’ll be pricey if you find one nowadays but a welcome addition to any collection
